Privacy policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Exam Français is an Android app for preparing the listening and speaking parts of TEF Canada and TEFAQ. It has no accounts: you never give us your name, email address or phone number to use it. This policy explains what the app does collect and why.

What stays on your phone

Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes all of this.

What the app sends to our server

When you install the app, it creates a random identifier (the support ID). It is not linked to your name, your Google account or your phone number. With that ID, the app sends:

We don't use advertising, we don't sell or share your data for advertising, and we don't build profiles of you.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is paid through Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. To know that you own the unlock, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your support ID and your Google Play purchase receipt. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

Where your data is kept

Our server and its database are hosted by Railway, and the exam audio is stored with Cloudflare. These providers may process data in Canada, the United States or other countries, under their own security commitments. We keep usage data for as long as the app is offered, or until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about your support ID, to correct it or to delete it. Write to support@examfrancais.com with the support ID shown in the app's Settings. We answer within 30 days. If you live in Québec, Law 25 also gives you the right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Children

The app is meant for adults preparing for a French exam. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 14.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
